Fun at the Galleria

We went to Dallas for a few days to have Christmas with my family. Ev thought it would be fun to stay in a hotel to make it feel like a real vacation, so we had a fun time at Embassy for a few nights. One of Ev's favorite Christmas traditions as a kid was to go to the Galleria to see the huge Christmas tree. It was so much fun to share that tradition with Vivi this year. She really wanted to get out of her stroller at the mall and run around, but there were WAY too many people there. So, we had a short, but fun trip at the mall before going to my parents house.

Hanging with mommy outside the Galleria.

Now it's daddy's turn to hold the wiggle worm!

Playing and unpacking in our hotel room.

This pic makes me laugh she looks caught red handed, ha!

Christmas at Grammy's

So, on Christmas Day, after Vivi played hard for a few hours, we headed to Weatherford to hang with Ev's side of the family for the day. Violet ate a quick lunch there, she really loves Grammy's turkey. Then she settled in for a very long nap. She was so worn out from all the fun she had that morning that she slept through most of the fun at Grammy's. We had an awesome lunch and then had our fun gift card exchange. For the third year in a row, I ended up with a Barnes and Noble gift card. Yay!! When Vivi woke up, most of Ev's family had already left. So she got to have all the attention for the afternoon and evening, which she didn't mind one bit, ha! She opened her presents and got lots of cute clothes. She also got her first American Girl doll, an itty bitty baby, complete with stroller. It is so cute, and she loves holding her baby (bah-bee) as she says it, giving it kisses, and pushing her around in her stroller. We had a fun day with Ev's family and are so blessed that Vivi has so many special people in her life that love her. Again, the pic quality is not that great, but you can see that she really enjoyed her Elmo stocking that sings "jingle bells", her new princess couch, and of course, her baby!

Christmas Day at Home

Finally, the Christmas posts are here! These pictures are from Christmas morning at our house. I left the camera in Dallas and our video camera was full. So I am pretty much mom of the year, right? Good thing for my I phone pics. Even though they aren't the best quality pics, I am glad we have them. We got Vivi a princess tent with a tunnel, and it was a big hit. Violet didn't seem to care about opening the presents, but wanted to play with everything once it was opened. We had a blast with our girl and it was a fun Christmas morning!

Difference

Vi posing for our Christmas card this year.

Around the same time last year, who is that sweet baby?

WOW, Violet has grown SO much! I can't believe how big our girl is this year!! When people tell you time flies, it is completely true! We are heading to Dallas for a few days, so we want to wish each of you Merry Christmas! We hope you have an amazing holiday season, and that you take time to reflect on the true meaning of Christmas!!
