Valentines Day

Happy Valentines Day from Miss V!! I had to put up some pics. I have had this outfit for a few weeks and couldn't wait for Violet to wear it. When I was pregnant and found out I would be having a girl, I knew she would have to have at least one tutu as a baby, haha. Hope you are having a great day and eating lots of chocolate! Violet and I hope to be eating some chocolate soon! XOXO...

5 Months

So, I feel like I say this everytime I put up a post about Violet, but SERIOUSLY, how is it possible that my girl is already 5 months old??? Wow, it sure is scary how fast time flies by us, isn't it? Here are some things Miss V is up to at 5 months:
-Rolling from front to back and as of recently, back to front
-Her hands are still pretty much always in her mouth, she even tries to shove some fingers in her mouth along with her bottle, which is pretty cute, except when you realize you are wearing about half her bottle b/c it dribbled out the side of her mouth, ha!
-Sleeping up to 12 hours at a stretch at night. Napping is still a work in progress. I am NOT a fan of the "cry it out" method, it goes against everything I know about infant development. However, she will usually settle herself to sleep in a few minutes if I let her fuss or talk for a bit...
-I think she is definitely teething, I haven't felt anything in her mouth, but she sure drools it up lately.
-Reaching for her feet when laying down and when sitting in her bumbo. I am afraid that gone are the days of her just hanging in her bumbo while I cook, etc, b/c now as soon as I sit her in it, she leans over and goes straight for her feet...
-She is becoming more of a fan of her rice cereal. Once she remembers how to swallow it, I can't get it in her mouth fast enough.
-She is drinking about 4-5 8 oz bottles everyday.
-She loves books, especially her Good Morning, Good Night book about animals that is touch and feel.
-She loves to play on the floor, especially with her owl toy from Auntie Ashley.
-If she sees anything in her sight that looks interesting, she grabs for it with intent.
-She has "figured" out how to turn on her aquarium. Many nights we wake up laughing b/c we hear her music coming on and her talking to her aquarium. She still loves looking at it!
-She is the absolute light of our lives!! She is the most precious gift and we cherish every single minute of her 5 month old life!! I can not imagine my life without her, the expression "what did we do before her" is so true, b/c we have a whole new perspective on life. We love our Violet!!
Violet had her first official playdate with our friend Cooper and his mommy Jessica who is one of my dear friends I used to work with at Cook. Sadly, I did not get any pics. Cooper and Violet are about 1 year apart and he is so cute and so much fun. Cooper, thanks for sharing your toys and rocking chair with Violet, we hope to see you soon. Unfortunately, Violet was having some tummy troubles yesterday, so Jessica and I didn't get to catch up too much. We were both joking as our kiddos were crying in unison at one point about how people wonder what mommies do all day...ha!
Enjoy the pics and Happy Birthday month to Auntie Renee and Grandma. XOXO.

I love my feet.

Giving her dolly kisses.

"Come back later, I'm busy reading."

Mid rolling over from back to front.

Yummy hands.

"I think I'll have the camera now Mommy."

Happy Girl!
