It's Getting Hot in Here...

What's a girl to do when it is 104 degrees outside? Strip down to her diaper and have a snowcone made by daddy! Yummy!

Snuggle time

I just had to share this pic because:
-Time is going by TOO fast
-One of the best feelings in the world is snuggling my little girl
-I always want to remember the precious feeling of holding my little one close, smelling her hair, feeling her little hands and face!

Just because

21 Months

My sweet, precious "cazy babee" as you call yourself, you are 21 months old. I see you quickly becoming a little girl, and while I am so happy you are growing up, I am trying to savor every single possible second of being your mommy while you are still my little baby! I love you more than words can express, simply as you say I "love you pieces", love you to pieces. You are the most precious gift and I thank God all the time that he picked me to be your mommy!! I feel so blessed that I get to watch you grow and develop! What are you up to lately?

-You talk ALL the time. You speak in complete sentences now, and I couldn't even begin to count how many words you know.
-You can count to 13
-You know all the words to songs mommy has been singing to you your whole life. I think your favorites are Jesus Loves Me and Twinkle, Twinkle.
-You are still an early riser. But mommy has figured out if you have some books in your crib you play and read for a while before you need to get out of bed.
-You take two naps a day usually.
-You are done with your bottle. Although you still ask for it, you fall asleep ok without it.
-You definitely have your own ideas for most things.
-You LOVE being outside. You would live outside probably if mommy and daddy let you.
-You really love to watch Calliou, Dora and the Backyardigans.
-You love dancing, and when you hear music, you usually dance.
-You love all fruit, especially berries and banannas.
-You ask for fried rice and yogurt almost every day.
-You say "I love you", and it is the sweetest sound to mommy's ears.
-You love when everyone is together and mommy and daddy are both home with you at the same time.
-You are SO precious and we can't believe we have an almost 2 year old little girl, seriously, I feel like you were an infant yesterday, like this:

Easter part 2

Violet and I headed to Dallas for the afternoon and spent time with my parents. Violet was able to see her Grandma and Grandpa, Great Grandpa, 2 aunties and cousins! We had a fun afternoon. Violet absolutely loves her cousins and had so much fun playing with Kael and Gage. They were so sweet with her, and I can still hear her little voice in my head saying "K-ael, Gagey," over and over. Violet spent a couple nights with my parents and was sad to leave, she loves her "Gramma/Grappa Newdold" so much!

Easter part 1

Easter morning, we woke up with a full day of plans. Violet played with her new owl backpack and some new books and was loving playing with her bubbles. Evan received an usettling call that his mom was going to the emergency room. She had a stroke and it was a very hard and emotional day for all of us. But God quickly reminded us that HE is in control, that HIS plans are far greater than OUR plans. God has been healing Grammy, and although she has a long road ahead, and some setbacks, it is such a miracle to the almighty power of our God that he is helping her recover so well. Brenda told me that she was upset she couldn't go to church on Easter, and she said that the devil tried to get to her, but he didn't, because our God is greater!! I am so thankful that God continues to bless us and care for us at all times. We are so thankful for Grammy and know with complete certainty that God is holding her in the palm of his hand!
"And if our God is for us, then what could ever stop us?
And if our God is with us, then what can stand against?
Our God is greater, our God is stronger,
God you are higher than any other,
Our God is healer, AWESOME in power, our God, our God!! -Chris Tomlin

Fun with her Easter presents of an owl "pack-ack" and bubbles!
