Grandma and Grandpa got Violet a picnic table for outside. To say that she loves it is an understatement. It was so sweet of them and the perfect gift!

Great Grandpa Visit

My grandpa was in town last week for Easter, and Violet finally was able to meet her "geat gampa", as she calls him. They were so sweet together, and I am so happy they were able to spend time together. My grandpa took my hand, more than once and told me how special it was that I had his first great grand-daughter. My parents and he came over to spend the day with us. Violet had an absolute blast! We played inside with every toy, played outside, and had a Chick-fil-a lunch together. It was so special for Vi to get to spend one on one time with her Grandma, Grandpa and Great Grandpa! We had a great day!

Snack time

Violet has discovered that it is way more fun to eat her "yogit melks" out of a cute little tin. She carries the little tin around with her, puts it in her purse, etc. It is SO adorable. Each time she opens it, it is like she forgot there was a surprise in their. I heard "Oh HI yogit melks" a million times yesterday and it never got old!

Mommy's little bowhead! Violet has enough hair now that bows and clips stay in...just long enough for her to pull them out, that is!

New shoes

There is nothing better than some new sparkly shoes and sassy sunglasses to make a girl feel brand new!

19 Months

Sweet baby, how are you already 19 months? We love you SO much, and are having a blast with you during this stage of your life. What are you up to at 19 months?

-Sleeping great still. You go to bed around 8, and sleep until 7. You still really need 2 naps a day, or you can get a bit crabby, ha!
-You love food. You really love fruit because it is sweet, and I think you would eat only that if mommy let you. You like rice and beans, you had that twice yesterday actually, ha! You like Italian food a lot, and tried lasagna for the first time this week, you called it "nanya". You had your first taste of chips last night at El Fenix, and they were dipped in queso, which you really liked! You love yogurt, and you really love your snacks, especially all crackers.
-You have SO much to say. One of mommy's favorites this month is when you say,how are you. Example: Hi mommy, how are you? Hi pancake, how are you? It is so much fun. There are really not any words that you can't say. It is also really sweet when you say: I sha-wee momma. (sorry).
-You love playing with your dora ball and pink ball. Maybe you will like sports someday.
-You LOVE watching Caillou, Dora, and Elmo.
-You do your "sizes" (exercises) which is so hillarious. You put your hands on the ground and your booty in the air, then lift your leg up and down while counting one, two, three, etc. I think it is my favorite thing that you do right now, it is SO cute!
-You like to dance like Angelina ballerina.
-You know the words to songs now that mommy has been singing to you your whole life. I love when you "help" me remember the words.
-You are learning your abc's. You never forget the "C", "P", or "now" at the end.
-You recognize the color red.
-You are such a blessing and I thank God for you ALL the time, even when you are throwing a fit, or it is a hard day! I can't wait to continue to watch you grow. I am so happy I get to be your mommy!

Grandpa fun!!

Violet loves her Grandpa Newbold! He came over to see us a few weeks ago, and Violet had SO much fun. We played outside for a long time, went swinging, played with every toy in the house, and even had lunch together. Vi took a long nap after Grandpa left. We love you Grandpa, and had SO much fun. Thanks for coming to play!

Mommy's official cookie taste tester!

It has been a busy baking week here! I made daisy cookies for a sweet little girl's first birthday! Then I made about 30 onesie cookies and 40 cupcakes for a baby shower. I am wiped out, but I am so happy with how everything turned out...
