Nursery update

So, Miss V's nursery is coming along. You can see in the above pics that the room is painted and all the furniture is put together. THANK YOU to my awesome mom for coming this weekend to help Ev paint and texture the nursery. And THANK YOU to the best hubby in the world for putting together all of the furniture. It is looking more and more like our future little girl's room and I am getting so excited to meet her!

As for me, I have continued to have some blood pressure issues, so I am now on bed/couch rest. It was hard this weekend to not do anything, but the most important thing is that Miss V needs to grow a little more before she makes her debut. So, I am following my midwives orders and not doing anything. I am so appreciative of my awesome hubby who is making sure I just rest. While I am anxious to meet her, I want her to "cook" as long as possible. I know that my God is in control and knows the future of V, is my job to be still, wait and know that he is God.

Please add my friend Linsey to your prayer requests this week/month. Next week, she is having brain surgery to remove a plum size tumor that is behind her ear. She has a strong faith, but could use the support for herself and her family.

I go back for an appt this Thursday, so I will post if I find out anything new. This Saturday is my baby shower, I am so excited to see my sissies, and especially my nephew Brady who I have only met once. Have a great week!

Meet Miss V: 3D Sonogram!

We had a 3D sono this week. It was so amazing to see her face on the screen. As it turns out, Violet wasn't really feeling in the mood to have her picture taken, but I am excited we have 2 pics of her face, here they are:

My blood pressure was a little high this week, so I have been advised to "take it easy" and rest as well as cut back my hours at work. I am going to work less hours each day, but now I will need to work 4 days a week instead of 3. So, I start that on Monday, and I will see how it goes. Violet weighs 4 lbs 8 oz this week, I am starting to wonder if she will make her appearance early? Nevertheless, I just want to make sure I am doing everything to keep her growing as long as possible. It is actually below 100 degrees here, so I hope that everyone enjoys their weekend!

30 Weeks

I am 30 weeks pregnant and starting to feel like I can't get any bigger, but I am sure Miss V still has some growing to do! I have been feeling pretty good lately, just getting tired a lot easier and for some sad reason my love of Mexican food is completely gone. I can't get enough Asian food, that is for sure. Other than that I haven't really had any outrageous cravings. I am really wanting to get the nursery done, we are waiting on some windows to come in, so I am just trying to be patient. Hopefully Ev will be able to get the walls ready for paint this weekend and then we can figure out what color to paint the walls. I will post a before picture, but we are still in the process of cleaning out more junk from that room. I have a sono next Tuesday, and if Miss V is in the right position, they will be able to do a 3D sono, so I will post the pic next week. Hope everyone has a great weekend and is able to stay cool!
